Project Description

Dharmasthali, 19 November 2025 – On the occasion of World Toilet Day 2025, the Rotary Club of Kathmandu Height, together with 14 Rotary clubs from the Rotary President Action Group, formally handed over a newly constructed toilet facility to the Dharmasthali Police Post, Kathmandu.
The handover program was graced by the Ward Chairman, Police DSP, local residents, Rotarians, and numerous traffic and police personnel. The initiative took shape following a request from police officers during the handover of computers and printers to the post in October.
The police post accommodates over 175 police personnel, who previously relied on a single toilet, creating an urgent need for better sanitation facilities. Responding to this, the Rotary team constructed four separate toilet rooms, a urinal, and a hand-wash basin.
To recognize the collaborative effort, the names of all participating Rotary clubs have been engraved on a marble plaque installed on the wall. The site also features a prominently displayed Rotary logo, acknowledging the generous support of the clubs at this publicly visible location.
The project received strong support from the district and the local community. It not only addresses a significant need but also enhances the public image of Rotary, demonstrating how Rotary clubs can collaboratively deliver impactful service in a short time
